This is pure Salvador country - 30km from the Salvador itself and 15 minutes for the airport. Furthermore, it is located only 50 metres from the sea front and beach as well as an enormous promenade made for long and pleasant walks.

The Toca do Toca is not just a pleasant surprise for its location, though. The other strong point is decor which, we daresay, is pretty singular.

The murals, wall hangings and furnishings have been collected from all over Brazil with one goal in mind – to combine perfectly with what is already on offer at the Toca – it must fit in with the whole and this makes for a peaceful and harmonious sort of place. The Toca’s artistic side is also evidenced by organising a number of exhibitions of international artists and craftsmen throughout the year.

Of course, worshippers of nature will love the garden and swimming pool, surrounded as they are by numerous types of flora that this tropical paradise affords. So if you want peace near the beach Salvador style, a place which respects the environment and nature, then the Toca do Toco could be the place for you.

What you get, as mentioned, is a pretty unique decoration throughout the five rooms, all of which come equipped with en-suite bathroom, mosquito net and modern niceties such as CD player. There is also Wi-Fi at the Toca just in case you can’t live without your e-mails, though the place is so conducive to relaxation, you’ll probably forget the Internet exists after the first day.

Breakfast is pretty special too and is made up of a variety of fruit juices and home made products – all organic and made with the environment in mind.
