A short background check on the Vila dos Orixas Boutique Hotel will show that it is situated in Morro de São Paulo, a small island some 60 km south of Salvador. Inexplicably it is not that well know outside Brazil.

Basically it's a Brazilian version of Ibiza so that gives you a clue of its natural charms. A natural preservation area, natural pools, deserted beaches and warm Atlantic sea aplenty although, like Ibiza, it does also offer a lot on the nightlife front.

And it gets better! the Vila dos Orixas is actually located at “Encanto” beach the last and most tranquil beach of Morro de São Paulo. This partly helps explain why it is considered one of the most exclusive accommodations of the area.

What do you expect when what you get are ten bungalows (three ocean front and seven by the pool) encompassed with wild flora, palm trees and the ever present ocean as a background.

Inside is also impressive. These are luxury bungalows, after all, so that means a mix of high technology comforts such as a jacuzzi (whatever bungalow you choose) with more traditional items such as wood, cool fabrics and hammocks which are perfect for trying supposedly the best caipirinhas around. This is Bahia, after all.

On top of all this you get a 25 metre swimming pool and one of the islands best restaurants serving up fresh sea food dishes.

More on Location: "Praia do Encanto" is made up of fine white sand and it is still possible to lie down with no one around, surrounded just by the calm sea and lush magroves.
