Discreet Edwardian beauty and service in the heart of London.

The English are masters at conveying old world understated elegance. They seem to do it better than anyone else, in our opinion and if you want proof of this, just have a look at the Draycott Hotel.

Occupying a three story red-brick Edwardian building just around the corner from Chelsea’s Sloane Square, the whole place evokes a sense of old world charm and elegance for which the city of London is justly so famous. It is steeped in Edwardian splendour; with high ceilings and fireplaces, whilst each room is theatrically themed and adorned with Victorian antiques and contains something of its theatrical namesake - be it Sheridan, Coward, Grenfell, or Ashcroft - such as prints, posters, photographs and a miniature biography of the impresario in question.

Each room also comes with en-suite bathroom with a well-proportioned bath and a power shower, whilst others have bay windows overlooking the peaceful and private garden below (particularly beautiful when the cherry trees are in blossom, by the way). In short, this is a hotel with pedigree and style, where the level of discreet service matches the ambience of the place.

It almost doesn’t feel like your staying in one of the world’s greatest and busiest cities, such is the peace and tranquillity it conveys. Yet only a stone’s through away are the bustling Sloane Street and King’s Road.
