Some years ago, Claude and Philipe Favre followed their dreams and left the hustle of Paris for the tranquility and beauty of western France. They were, in fact following a life-long vision of setting up a charming Brittany hotel that combined their modern sophisticated Parisian tastes with the unique homely charisma of Brittany. As Claude and Philipe said, they wanted a “A place where families and friends can get together and be near to the sea." They certainly found one for the end result is the Lodge Kerisper.

Located less than hundred metres from the renowned harbour of La Trinité-sur-Mer, a small and charming Breton village in the Bay of Quiberon, Le Lodge is a 19th century townhouse with a cute garden and a heated swimming pool, that offers a selection of sixteen bedrooms, including three ample suites facing the garden and looking to the sea. The hotel’s decor is lively but sober at the same time, mixing natural colours, shades of cream, white ceilings and stone walls. Everywhere we find delightful “bibelots” (small decorative objects) that the owners have lovingly collected over the years, visiting antiquarians and flea markets. We can tone up our bodies before we start exploring the surroundings, with an oriental massage or a beauty treatment – that is, after a generous buffet breakfast in the conservatory, or on the room’s terrace.

Kerisper doesn’t have a restaurant, but there are several 5 - 10 minutes away that are pretty good and have great seafood. Bicycles are available and guests can also practice all sorts of sports in the vicinity, such as tennis, golf, riding and sailing.

Lodge Kerisper is an excellent springboard to investigate fascinating Brittany.
