Beautiful Languedoc accommodation.

Three things immediately struck us about Le Domaine aux Quat'Saisons. Firstly, the beautiful Languedoc landscapes to get there – it is a truly delightful area with a sun drenched climate and, thankfully, still relatively unspoilt by mass tourism. Secondly, the 2 acre landscaped garden with its swimming pool complex is stunning. Thirdly, there are the fantastic en-suite bedrooms with their great antique pieces, silks and all round decoration.

But there are others as you get to know the place better. There’s the discreet charm of the owners, for example who do their utmost to make a stay here as special as possible. Plus they have a further ace up their sleeve.

Not only are they incredibly hospitable, they are also are excellent cooks in their own right and offer guests a full four course menu with beverages 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Their cuisine very much represents the seasonal flavours of the area and is always fresh and, weather permitting, meals are served on a large table in the panelled “salle à manger” or on the terrace.

So there you have it, the beautiful area which takes in the UNESCO world heritage sites of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi as well as many other cultural attractions within easy access, delightful grounds that are quiet, secluded and an oasis of colour, the chrarming hosts and great food.

It is for reasons such as these that a particularly happy guest simply stated “places like this are to be cherished”!
