Hotel Daniel
Hotel Type: Luxury Hotel
Environment: City
Number of Rooms: 26
Style: Luxurious
Victor Hugo said “to breathe Paris preserves the soul”, well at the Hotel Daniel, you just don’t breathe it, you live it and that’s how it should be when you visit this wonderfully beautiful city.
So whether you are a culture lover, art lover, food lover or, dare we say, simply lover, the Daniel is a perfect, if rather expensive, home from home. It remains French without resorting to over formality and rather than opting for either the full antique or boutique look, it goes its own individual way.
Therefore, despite being decorated in an 18th century house style, it still manages to take inspiration from the art of chinoiserie, blending oriental influences to great effect. Hence the tones of green and pearl grey hues, Chinese hand-painted wallpaper especially made by De Gournay, luxurious Khotan carpets, Baroque oeuvre d’art, oriental pure olive oil soaps and bath salts from the Dead Sea, bathroom in marble or “Zellige” Moroccan earthenware and delicate lighting which all help transform the Hotel Daniel into an oasis away from the bustling city.
And what an oasis it is, for you get all this luxury and style right in the heart of the Parisian Rive Droite, only a few steps away from the Champ-Elysées. Perhaps the only downside we can think of is that fact that rooms, whilst wonderfully decorated and furnished, tend to be on the small side, but as we like to point out, chances are that you will spend little time in them anyway.
Paris is too beautiful for anyone to be cooped up in a room, whatever its size. But what a great place the Daniel is to come back to after having done some discovering of your own in the city of light.
