Hôtel Mayet
Hotel Type: Hotel
Environment: City
Number of Rooms: 23
Style: Contemporary
The Hotel Mayet deserves a lot of praise. It is not just another boutique hotel in Paris - the spiritual home of such a concept – this one has upped the ante for combining design with a great price, particularly considering its location in Les Invalides, a stone’s throw from Montparnasse.
One of the first things to notice about the Hotel Mayet is the general use of Red and Grey. These colours transmit vitality and immediately make a statement about the Hotel’s style – contemporary chic. In fact, as soon as you enter the reception area you cannot fail to notice the decoration - in graffiti style! How about that for bold?
Everything about it is bright and designed in such a way that doesn’t come at the expense of comfort. Creative people will definitely love it, that’s for sure. Bright modern paintings also hang on the walls and the halls are painted (again) with graffiti-like frescoes. It works really well and gives an unusual, edgy effect.
Bedrooms, though not huge, are still comfortable and come with all the basics, including free Wi-Fi. Being located on the upper level of the building means they also boast sloping mansard roofs for that extra bit of character.
The Hotel Mayet’s location alone would make it a winner for the price, but given the style and friendly atmosphere (staff are extremely helpful) it has many more aces up its sleeve. As we said at the beginning for that it deserves a lot of praise.
