Una joya de palacio en la Florencia histórica Empecemos por decir que el Palazzo Nicolini al Duomo es una pequeña joya de la hostelería y así nos quitamos de encima unos piropos. Ésta es verdaderamente una casa antigua con toda la belleza de una residencia aristocrática singular – aunque posee otras virtudes que no saltan a la vista. La situación, por ejemplo, en el corazón de la Florencia histórica y a dos pasos de sus monumentos más importantes. Luego está la historia del local en si, que data del siglo XIV cuando el célebre escultor Donatello estableció su estudio aquí y la casa fue construida por los Naldinis – una importante familia florentina de banqueros. Desde aquellos días, el palacio ha sido totalmente renovado sin alterar su fisonomía y conservando la fascinación de su pasado. Cuartos grandes, de techo alto pintado, paredes pintadas al fresco y decoradas con motivos que evocan su historia. Las habitaciones también pueden contratarse con cuartos de baño de mármol, en-suite. El resultado es un sitio perfecto donde quedarse, para aquellos que quieran experimentar el estilo y la historia de un palacio realmente aristocrático. Esto se debe gracias a los actuales dueños, Filippo y Ginevra, quienes supervisaron personalmente todo el trabajo de renovación y decoración.
