Masseria Alchimia is an old 17th century hermitage in Puglia’s Adriatic coast, that Caroline Groszer has converted into a charming hideaway with 10 apartments surrounded by natural countryside full of ancient olive trees. It’s an eco-friendly habitat that employs solar energy, controls water consumption and provides recycling facilities – a valid option for “eco-conscious” travelers. Close by there are fine sand and rocky beaches plus a number of whitewashed villages such as Ostini, Alberobello, Matera, Cisternino and Otranto.

Children are welcome – there are playing grounds within the Masseria, the sandy beaches, and a Safari Zoo in Fasano. Adults can play golf (Carolina can take care of the booking at the San Domenico club), bicycle, ride a horse, practice aquatic sports or get body massages. Good region to look for and buy wine, pasta, olive oil and ceramics. Masseria Alchimia is a quiet place away from crowds, where guests can relax whilst showing well deserved consideration to mother nature.

Superior Studio 36 sq metre single-room studio, again located on the ground floor. Comes with a large kitchen corner and terrace with a view of the olive groves. Romantica Rooms Lovely 50 square metre two room studio with fantastic views of the sea with a top floor location. Comes with kitchenette. Also has a large private terrace with fantastic vistas of the sea.

Junior Suite 45 square metre Junior Suite with a two-room-studio plus kitchenette situated on the ground floor, with a spacious comfortable bedroom with kitchenette. There is a big tub equipped with “Colour Therapy” where you can bathe in water with mood-setting coloured light and are surrounded by water, giving a pleasant feeling off weightlessness There are also two separate bathrooms and a lovely garden view patio.

Deluxe Suite A Philip Starck designed 50 square metre two-room-studio located on the first floor. Bright and spacious and design orientated. Kitchenette area and dining table, terrace with panoramic view of the olive groves, double sun bed, table and chairs. The large double bedroom also provides a garden view terrace with an outsize tub.

Family Suite 45 square metre two-room-studio suite on the ground floor. Boasts a private garden view. One double bedroom with kitchenette which is connected to a second smaller bedroom that can have either a double bed or with two single beds. Both rooms have a private bathroom and independent entrance: As the name implies, it is ideal for families.
