One of the great things about the Palazzo Finati is its location, in the very heart of Alba, close by to the Piazza del Duomo, the town’s main square. One of the other great things is its style. This early 19th century building has been recently renovated with a simple remit. To keep the original architecture and ambience, whilst upgrading modern comforts. Its has passed with flying colours on that score. Some rooms have frescoed ceilings, for example, others have terraces and Jacuzzi showers. All are warmly furnished and quite ample by any normal standard.

The Palazzo comes with nine rooms, all of which are decorated in that typical old world Italian style. Another interesting point is that part of the décor is includes works by important local artists to help recreate the original atmosphere of the Palazzo, all of which are for sale. The other great thing is that the staff are an excellent bunch of people and well-informed about the places to eat, drink, and visit around the area. So the fact, that the hotel does not serve dinner is not really a problem (breakfast is great though)

Alba itself is also a great starting point from which to visit many of the superb communities of Piedmont.
