A really interesting little hotel combining typical Puglia architecture and hospitality with modern comforts.
This sure is one fascinating little hotel. Built in an ancient ploughman’s residence (much of it dates back to the 17th century), it was once the agricultural factory of the local farmer. Going even further back, it actually belonged to an abbot (from whence it actually gets its name) who used to celebrate the holy mass every Sunday for the ploughmen in the area. In keeping with many agricultural residences, it is surrounded by pastures and groves.
But by goodness, has it been turned into a sophisticated accommodation, following an excellent restoration by master builders. Everything, from the typical white stones of the roof, to the stables (now an excellent barrel vaulted restaurant) have been done up to great effect. As indeed are the 8 rooms, four of which are suites in the small round huts with conical roofs, housing two to four people and known locally as “trulli”. Not only are these comfortable and well apportioned, they are also great fun. Private swimming pool, extremely friendly staff and even high speed Internet access, just add to the place.
Then, of course, there are covered plateaus of the forest and olive groves surrounding the Abate Masseria Resort which, all added together, make it a wonderful retreat for those looking to get away from it all in Puglia.

Well Being
The Noci area, for its geographical location, for its mild weather in winter and cool climate in summer, for its native flora (macchia Meditterranea) and for its healthy air, offers a fantastic welcome . The Abate Masseria surrounded by the Murgia Barese countryside, offers each guest a a unique and exclusive space ensuring a regenerating break from the rush of everyday life and invites you to rediscover the almost forgotten feelings of well being. It is easy to indulge in the deafening silence, to dive deep down inside yourself and and let yourself be seduced by the place’s beauty until you reach a state of complete well being.
Welcome to the Masseria, welcome back....to yourself.
