Guesthouse Arco de' Tolomei
Hotel Type: Bed & Breakfast
Environment: City
Number of Rooms: 5
Style: Traditional
You can almost feel the la dolce vita running through this ancient Roman Palazzo - as if Anita Ekberg would be likely to stroll by at any moment doing her famous dance. For this is pure Roma, nestled as it is in the heart of medieval "Trastevere," one of the most authentic and characteristic areas of Rome.
It is also only a few steps from the River Tiber and close by to some of Rome’s most famous landmarks, including the Coliseum, Campo dei Fiori market, the Ghetto, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. All you have to do is stroll along the Tiber Bridge and basically you’re there.
As for the Arco de Tolomei itself, the inside has been fully restored to a cosy standard, the intimacy of a private palazzo mixed with the comforts of a small hotel.
Rooms are individually styled and furnished with family pieces passed down through the generations. Each room also comes with a private balcony, a great little touch.
