The white washed walls of the Santa Isabel and its Arabesque construction are dramatic enough but to this you can add the location as it ascends sharply from Scario Bay. It is mysterious and glamorous in one package, a short way from the shore below and the centre of town, which is no more than a 10 minute walk away.
The ten rooms, which are located over two levels, are, of course, comfortable and well apportioned, providing many facilities such as drinks fridge, air conditioning and TV. But what really sticks out is its panoramic location with public areas and terraces overlooking the beach and wide blue yonder. It’s a superb part of the island and nature lovers will think they’ve died and gone to Heaven.
Trekking opportunities abound whilst tours are available to a number of Nature Reserves, including Fossa delles Felci and Monte Porri. Indeed, Salina is not only famous for places such as the Hotel Santa Isabel but also its vegetation.
