We love it when history marries modernity to spectacular effect: when design and tradition bring together technological innovation and original architecture.

This is the approach Monoresort has taken in its interpretation on Sicilian hospitality, one where 17^th century construction meets “uber” vanguard design - and in this specific case it works like a dream.

Monoresort provides guests staying in any of its apartments with all the services one would normally expect to find in Sicily’s top notch accommodations. And it provides quite a few innovations itself.

Take the “Welcome House" concept for example. Part living room, part reception, this is where, on arrival, guests are welcomed with an assortment of regional delicacies. Here, not only will you be given the keys to your apartment; you will also be provided with an iPad, which you will be free to use for the duration of your stay.

Other luxury goodies include the round-the-clock assistance of your own personal concierge, capable of organizing a guided tour, airport transfer, or helicopter excursion at the click of a finger.

Now to the exotically named Mandrazza, Castellett, and Portosalvo apartments which together make up part of the Monoresort experience. All are stylish, of course, and all are located in the very center of town.

The spacious Casa Mandrazza is a split level apartment which can accommodate up to three adults. Casa Castellet is an intimate hideaway created in a 17th century dammuso. Exposed stone walls, cross vaulted ceilings and majolica tiles from Santo Stefano di Camastra characterize Monoresort's Casa Portosalvo.

Any other goodies we can mention? Take the complimentary shuttle bus to the Monoresort Beach Club (see hotel board), a luxury lido and restaurant on the beach of Maganuco. A classic Sicilian bathing establishment transformed into a modern lounge bar, Monoresort's beach club provides a fantastic venue for art exhibitions, glamorous social events and beach parties hosted by celebrity DJs.

Monoresort Beach has its own beach club just a short drive from Modica and a complementary shuttle service can take you there and back.

Fully restored and refurbished in line with the Monoresort philosophy, it is an ideal place for sunbathers and restaurant lovers.
