Surely here, the combination of rural self catering apartments set amongst the rolling hills south-west of Florence, among centuries old vineyards is a winner.

Wines are great and guests can really take in the vine culture here. It also helps, of course, to be handily situated close by to some of Tuscany’s great attractions including, but not limited to: Florence (15 km), Arezzo, Siena, Lucca and Pisa.

As the Villa Torre a Cona itself likes to say “This is a place that offers far more than just a holiday farmhouse, far more than just a vacation in Tuscany, far more than simply a quiet interlude to take time out for oneself.”

We almost forgot about the accommodations themselves. And Villa Torre a Cona doesn’t disappoint here either.

Guests have at their disposal six apartments/houses all of which have been thoroughly renovated in a rustic and traditional style. They all take in a kitchen and bathroom, of course, but here's the rub, also include a private outdoor area looking out to nature in all its glory. Result? A pure break and getaway.

Accommodations:

Casa Villa: Recently renovated farmhouse that in all can accommodate up to 16 people. It can, however, be divided into four independent apartments, each with their own kitchen, bathroom and private garden: Piccolo (1 twin, 1 sofa bed), Camino (1 twin, 1 double) Giardino (1 twin, 1 double), Piciconaia (1 twin, 1 double).

Fonte Lecceta: the hayloft in a previous life, it is located behind the Villa Torre a Cona proper. It comes with a double room, bathroom and shower. Like other apartments, there is also a large private garden.

Important notes: In low and mid seasons, it is possible to rent mid-week or weekends, excluding holidays (Easter, June 2, Immaculate Conception, etc). In High Seasons rentals must be weekly and/or multiple weekly rentals, on a Saturday to Saturday basis

Fattoria Wines

The Conti Rossi di Montelera estate produces small quanty, high quality wines: 2 high quality red wines, a vin santo and an extra-virgin olive oil, all of which are harvested by hand and produced on the estate.

The wines are a product of the micro-climate ideal here, which is idea for producing wine, at 00-350 meters above sea level.

Slow processing, great care, and a strong passion for wine-making does the rest as recognised by gastronomy experts and those who simply enjoy great food and wine.

The wines can be tasted on the estate in the old barn which was restored to create our wine tasting room and wine shop.
