The Casa de Uscoli is not necessarily to everyone’s tastes. The entrance (which in fact is not part of the hotel itself) does not do the place inside justice, but you get a bit of crumbling when talking of an authentic Palazzo dating back to 1459.
Yet pass it and we think the Casa de Uscoli is a really interesting place to spend some days in Venice and experience the beauty of one of the most famous views in Italy - directly into the Grand Canal.
It surely must be have of the best vistas in Venice, but the pleasantly "out-of-the-way" location also makes this small B&B (with only four rooms in all) a great bet.
And where is the location exactly? In the very heart of the city, right next to the famous Accademia Bridge, four minutes walking from San Marco and Rialto. And it by being right on the Grand Canal that those breathtaking views come from.
For all this, it remains quiet and peaceful. The rooms are, without exception, large and full of light and sophisticated and furnished with original materials.
