The house may be old, but it has been recently restored and furnished with modern bathrooms and furnishings.

Given the proximity to the water’s edge it’s appropriate that a certain maritime theme is used throughout: “boat furniture”, polished mahogany, brass, travel souvenirs further give the impression of the Casa das Barcas as a solid boat located in a safe harbour in the middle of the ocean.
