Oh yes, this is what an idyllic peaceful paradise should be like.
Located within the beautiful Natural Park of Sintra, which also takes in probably Portugal’s most picturesque town, the Quinta Magnolia is made up of three typical, rustic and historic cottages set within a natural Mediterranean garden with cork trees, strawberry trees and citrus trees amongst others. And, of course, a large pool area. Idyllic indeed.
Given this is Sintra, views are accordingly wonderful and take in both sea (Guincho beach, for example) and land (Cascais and Estoril).
The cottages are made up of three doubles, a suite and two bungalows, each one of which has been individually designed and mostly decorated with handmade furniture, 100% linen and cotton. Natural wood, with that kindly brown glow, has also been used throughout to add a further nice contrast to the whitewashed walls and quality of light.
In addition to being extremely ample, all rooms also come with luxurious mod cons such as air-conditioning and floor heating in the bathrooms, Satellite TV and Internet. The Quinta Magnolia’s natural credentials are further enhanced by the fact that all water is heated by solar energy. There’s also a chill out area at the pool and bar area.
We also have a gourmet restaurant: FINS Club by Quinta Magnólia. The successful formula has been created by Steven Snow, Australia’s most renowned seafood chef.The best local seafood combined with organic vegetables and herbs from our garden are combined to produce the unique cuisine now served in Portugal at Quinta Magnolia.
One of the fantastic things about this area is that despite being secluded it is only 25 km away from Lisbon and leisure activities here are almost endless. Basically they include golf, tennis, sailing, surfing, hiking, horse back riding, cycling or other sport activities. The Quinta Magnolia is only too willing to help you plan your favourite activities our cultural itineraries.
