A typical Manor house situated in an Andalusian “Cortijo” the origins of which go back to the 15th century Catholic Kings.
The interior provides evidence of the regions Moorish past: Arabesque doors, marquetry tables and adornments in both copper and forged iron. The imposing entrance hall is dominated by an oak wood stairs that leads onto a covered terrace and a garden. The hotel also boasts a fine restaurant offering traditional home cooking; indeed, many of the ingredients are made up of fresh local produce.
There are numerous activities to keep the traveller satisfied, such as visiting Jerez de la Frontera and its famous wine cellars or playing golf in Montecastilho, utilised by the PGA on the European tour.
Sadly, modern suburbs have crept up to the hotel, but they are soon forgotten once you are inside.
