Cortijo Torre de la Reina
Hotel Type: Manor House
Environment: Countryside
Number of Rooms: 13
Style: Elegant
This is a country inn set within an ancient castle and must be classified as a truly historic location (construction began in the 11th century).
It was once the rear guard settlement for one of the camps of king Ferdinand III the Saint, during the conquest of Seville. It was later owned by Queen Maria de Molina, after which it is named.
Besides having been a royal property, it is also the only rural building of its kind in Seville and, as such, has been designated a National Monument. The entire ensemble of buildings have been converted into a sumptuous hotel providing a handful of suites and rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and all the modern amenities in a uniquely rural setting. The garden is outstanding, suposed to be one of the best gardens in Andalucía
Within a short radius guests will find golf, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting amongst other activities, not to mention that it is only 12km away from the beautiful city of Seville.
