Casa Nº 7 Tatler Travel Award 2001” for the Best Small Hotel or the nomination to the “Harpers & Queen Travel Award 2002.
An intimate location in the lovely city of Seville that feels more like a personal abode than a six-bedroom hostelry. This is unsurprising as the owner, Mr Gonzalo del Río, converted his Seville home into this charming hotel. The criteria was to get the mood and attention to detail just right and not simply rush through the changes from home to hotel. In this Gonzalo has totally succeeded.
The atmosphere is intimate and the good taste in the furnishings evident. The rooms all have a stately feel about them and include fabrics, furniture pieces that blend in flawlessly with the light, to provide a warm and elegant ambience making it obvious that this is no impersonal hotel. In addition to intimacy Casa Nº 7 also boasts some refined touches; as evidenced by breakfast that is served by a white gloved butler.
Talking to Gonzalo is also worthwhile as he is a fine connoisseur of food and wine (indeed his family own a bodega in Jerez). He will only be too willing to point out the best places to eat and drink in Seville, of which there are, of course, many. A Roof terrace with deck chairs and view of the Giralda is also available. Finally we would mention that given its stated aim to be a home from home rather than simply a hotel, as such, rooms do not come with TV.
It is also not suitable for children, but discerning guests will find it an enchanting location.
