Almud
Hotel Type: Boutique Hotel
Environment: Mountain
Number of Rooms: 10
Style: Traditional
The Hotel Almud is what can be called a real labour of love, for this 18th house has been built up by its welcoming owners into one of the nicest hotels in the whole of the Aragon Pyrenees.
Attention to detail is obvious in every corner, with furnishings and materials being patiently collected over the years from all over the area. Add to this a privileged location evidencing the beauty of this region and you have a compelling accommodation as well as an excellent base from which to discover this part of the Pyrenees.
Almud itself is located in Villa de Sallent, a typically pretty village high up in the Aragon Pyrenees (1,305 metres) with its houses made of stone, and excellently situated next to the Lanuza Dam. The views are accordingly superb. Inside, warmth and comfort is the order of the day. Rooms are individually decorated, yet all provide an elegant environment with period furniture and all the mod cons.
Outside, natural activities abound, including skiing in winter and rafting, trekking, horse riding in summer and even mushroom hunting in Spring.
