Xana Casa Rural
Hotel Type: Bed & Breakfast
Environment: Village
Number of Rooms: 7
Style: Elegant
Some 1400 metres high up in the Albarracin hills is where you’ll find this lovely restored country house made of stone – in the village of Terriente, more precisely (see hotel board for further information on Terriente itself).
The thing about this area is that the air is clean and pollution is, well we’re not sure they’ve heard of the term in these parts.
What you get here are wide open spaces encouraging outdoor pursuits and country roads free of traffic and miles of forest tracks, peaks, valleys and picnic areas. Waterfalls, rivers, cave paintings and fascinating rock formations are all within easy reach.
On top of this, the Casa Xana is a delightful house in itself, a diverse mix of old and new, classic and modern, where the original features have been maintained as much as possible. Thus you get things such as the arched wooden entrance door, the trough, old wood beams. But all seven rooms also get en suite bathrooms, central heating and TV. One of the room suites is independent of the house. There’s also a spacious terrace overlooking the sea and mountains.
This area is also known for its generosity and sure enough, that’s also on of Casa Xana’s strong points. Ana, the host, is a natural in the art of hospitality and her pride and love of the house is self evident. As a side note, the name of the house, Xana, is simply and “x” added to Ana’s name.

Terriente
Terriente is located in the heart of the magnificent "Parque Cultural de Albarracin" high up in the Sierra of Albarracin.
It is surely one of the cutest villages in the whole area. Grand stone-built houses dominate with their monumental styles, often taking in arched entrances and ornamental iron-work. These types of houses are known as "Casonas Aragoneses".
The area around Terriente is also know known for a number of nearby freshwater springs.
Terriente's priviliged location makes it one of themost convenient bases to explore the diversity of the local countryside.
