You don’t get to be awarded the highest category of Country Hotels by the Castila and Leon Tourist board just like that. In fact, there’s only one in the region with that honour - the Caserio de Lobones.
This club may be exclusive, but in the case of the Lobones the reasons are simple and compelling. There’s the privileged position, some 9 km from Segovia for a start, then the old world charm Spanish style, which means travelling back in time to poplar beams, hydraulic mosaic baked clay paving and real 18th century furnishings.
All these elements come together magnificently with the attention to detail that an exclusive country resort of this quality demands.
Then, of course there are the spectacular gardens, and the all pervading peace and tranquillity. Indeed it is hard to believe that in Caserio de Lobones country you are less than 100 km form the hustle and bustle of Madrid.
