The second thing that strikes about the Hotel Tunel del hada is the beautiful rustic building and the privileged location within the city limits of Jerte.
What’s the first thing? The paradisiacal nature of and the hotel’s location which is only some 200 metres from the valley’s numerous natural pools. In fact, the very name “Jerte” derives from the Arabic “Xerete” which means “Water Paradise” and the river that runs through the town and surrounding valley really is a testament to that.
There is also a spa on hand, though we would suggest using it more in spring and summer rather then the cold winter months. Still if you’re looking for a calm Caceres getaway, whatever time of year, this could be it.
Each of the 9 rooms have been meticulously and individually designed in accordance with their location and views. But they all have nice interior design touches such as authentic works of art by Juan Manuel Arruabarrena and lamps by Terzanni, which provide a great effect. The garden is great too, an old orange orchard from where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the valley.
The idea behind the Hotel Tunel del Hada is to match the exterior beauty of the area with a calm feeling of well being inside. It achieves that balance well.
