If you want to mix Ibiza with luxury, the Mirador Dalt Vila is the place for you. An old 19th century colonial house in the heart of Ibiza’s old town (a declared UNESCO World Heritage site), the location is pretty special too. The views over the Mediterranean Sea and Ibiza’s harbour are truly spectacular for a start and the nearest beaches are only some ten minutes away.

Though the Mirador Dalt Vila is luxury class it is not stuffy or pompous. It is more a home from home, which is not surprising really as it was originally the residence of a wealthy family who furnished it with pieces of the highest orders - oriental carpets, works of art, and furniture that would not look out of place in a museum. Rooms, from the standard double to the grand suite are also superb. Though they carry on the historic quality of the Dalt Vila, they have also moved with the times. Modern touches, for exampke, include an iPod docking station and fantastic bathrooms complete with Jacuzzi and marble walls.

So, for those of you who thought Ibiza was only about partying and raves, the Mirador Dalt Vila, with its luxury, refinement and intimacy will come as a revelation.
