An environmentally friendly hotel far from the madding crowds of Ibiza.
Can Marti is the hotel equivalent of a hot bath or yoga exercise – a place designed get rid of all your worries and make you feel at home with nature. The respect and preservation of the environment is fundamental at the Can Marti. This centuries old house has been renovated using traditional and ecological materials whenever possible and decoration owes more than a nod to Eastern and Arab influences.
Electricity and hot water is provided by solar panels and rain water is collected for irrigation, amongst other environmentally friendly measures taken up by the owners. On top of this, the 11-hectare farm in which the Can Marti is located serves as the base for an organic fruit and vegetable market every Thursday, selling anything from cheese and wines to yogurts and honey.
All in all, the Brantschen family’s efforts have made the Can Marti a shining example of what agro-tourism is all about. It is a place in total harmony with the surrounding landscapes of olive, almond and carob trees. As a fellow review succinctly stated “Can Marti is so natural that its impossible not to feel good".
