The century old Cas Ferrer Nou is beautiful, atmospheric and extremely well located in the heart of Alcudia, northern Mallorca, near some fantastic beaches.

It really is as simple as that, but we’ll expand a little bit more. The building may be centuries old (in fact, it used to be a blacksmiths house and an integral part of Alcudia’s main square) but the style inside is pure modern boutique with a chic, yet understated ambience.

In short, it blends in a historic setting with contemporary design features whilst much care has been taken to blend the best of both these elements. Well places lighting, for example, helps emphasize the beautiful old stone walls and original tiles. It also features a wonderful rooftop terrace from which to take in the sun and fabulous views of both sea and land.

The six bedrooms are all pretty stylish too and like the rest of this highly individual hotel replete with hip fittings and equipment (hydro massage anyone?). Wellness is an integral part of a stay here.

A number of beauty centres are close by to the hotel (The Auca Salut Spa is right next door, for example) and massages and treatments can be applied in the cabin or hotel room.

If the beautiful sea and location don’t de-stress and purify you, then the wellness treatment surely will.
