The real secluded Mallorca If you want to feel the atmosphere of a real Mallorcan country house, complete with typical architecture and decoration here’s a suggestion – the Es Mayolet.

Having been abandoned for a number of years, it was recently, and lovingly, renovated in a way to maximise all its natural attributes. These include, without doubt, the way it blends in with the surrounding vineyards, olive groves and pastures. But the building itself is another strong point. The kindly Mallorcan light seems to reflect off the typical stone walls with the end result being a pervading kindly atmosphere. In short, it is ideal for relaxing.

There’s plenty of time to do nothing, such as whiling away the time by the swimming pool or taking a walk in the lovely garden. More strenuous activities may include playing in the private golf course (9 holes) that belongs to the Es Mayolet’s sister hotel La Reserva Rotana. Horse riding, trekking and bike rides are also on tap. If for some reason you feel like staying in, then the 7 rooms are all simple but tastefully done and designed to keep out the summer heat, so you should get a good day’s sleep.

All in all, a place to unwind within the atmosphere of the real Mallorca.
