| Functionality, lightness of touch and an imaginative mix of the old with the new tend to be a hallmark of the AC Group of hotels, and the AC Toledo is no exception. Opened in 1998, the group of old houses that now make up the AC have been delightfully restored to their former glory. A further advantage must be the beautiful location in one of the best quarters of Toledo, “Los Cigarrales” next to the Tajo River, where the wonderful panoramic views over the city come as standard. As you enter on the third floor, and move down through the spiralling architectural design to get to the rest of the hotel, the fortunate combination of rustic charm, contemporary décor and luxury soon becomes evident. Bedrooms are full of light, some with terraces, and extremely well equipped including a number with hydro-massages and oversize bathtubs. Though the AC hotels were created to cater largely for the discerning business traveller, its delightful and quirky touches should be more than enough to please everybody. |

In Illescas, located half way between Toledo and Madrid (at 35 km from each), we find traces of a very old history, from paleolithic to the middle-ages.
Esquivias was the home-town of Cervantes. Ocaña is worth a visit because of its Roman rests, its elegant Renaissance palace and its beautiful main square, Plaza Mayor, of 18th century.
TOLEDO:
Mudejar-style churches.
Santiago del Arrabal, Cristo de la Vega, San Vicente, San Miguel, San Román and Santo Tomé. (In the latter is exposed one of El Greco's most famous paintings, \"The Funeral of Count Orgaz\")
The Mosque \"Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz\", 10th century, is extraordinarily well-conserved
The town-gate Vieja Puerta de la Bisagra, built during the 12th and 13th centuries, is the most impressive rest of the Moorish fortifications
The Cathedral , built between 1226 and 1492, with massive lines and decorations in the Mudejar style is certainly the most interesting Gothic building in town.

| Please feel free to send us your personal hotel review on this hotel. You may wonder why all the assessments we have on line are positive. Well, apart from the simple fact that we try to include only what we consider to be the best accommodations, there’s another important reason to bear in mind. Any hotel that receives 3 negative feedbacks is automatically taken out of our selection. |
