A well restored 17th century Italian Manor house

The Masseria Marzalossa is quite simply an excellent example of a restored Italian 17th century manor house – set in a landscape of olive groves, sheltered courtyards and terraces. It also has a wonderful, swimming pool, which is perhaps the Marzalossa’s piece de la resistance, surrounded as it is by pergola trees, flowers and stone columns. All rooms are different but as a common denominator they come with flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and white walls. Beds have pretty wrought-iron heads and colourful printed covers. Period furniture, pictures and ornaments have been carefully chosen to suit each room. All unpretentious but tasteful and welcoming, the same of which can be said for the cuisine. Do try the delicious home made jams at breakfast or dinner (there is no lunch). The Masseria is one of those places to unwind, read a book under the singing of birds and then take a dip in a marvellous swimming pool. However, for those feeling more active there are many places to visit nearby, whilst bicycles and a boat for excursions along the nearby coast are at guests' disposal.

By car:
Take the Bari-Brindisi-Lecce road and exit at the sign of "Fasano"; then take the SS 16 in direction of Ostuni; 2Km before Fasano there is the diversion to the masseria, which is signposted. Follow the signs

By train:
Milano-Bologna-Bari-Lecce line, railway station of Fasano (4 Km. from the masseria).
