With over twenty years of experience and several awards under their belts, the charming owners have developed a unique and extensive repertoire of exquisite Mediterranean meals. They are even mentioned in the Michelin guide and been the subject of a BBC programme. Why not walk off the excesses of a delicious meal by trekking across the hills or even down to Lake Trasimeno itself. Ever present signs forbidding the gathering of wild asparagus and truffles constantly remind you of the ingredients of the next fabulous dinner.

ll	Tips & Getting There

Take the highway A1 Florence - Rome. Exit FABRO (Scalo) if coming from direction of Rome, and CHIUSI-CHIANCIANO, to drive then to CITTÀ DELLA PIEVE, if you are coming from direction of Florence or Pisa (airport). After leaving the highway head in direction of Perugia until you reach the village of TAVERNELLE. Pass the village an after 2 km turn left at sign for "COLLE SAN PAOLO". Go up the hilll for 7 km (the road will be gravelled after Colle) following the sign AZIENDA AGRITURISTICA MONTALI. At the top of the hill turn left, pass a small oldf graveyard and 800 m from the T-junction you will enter a green woodland - the Hotel The Country House Montali is to your left.
