The young owner, Myriam, certainly spent a lot of time and thought in decorating this most attractive ochre coloured hotel. All rooms have been named after exotic cities: hence titles such as Florencia, Deauville, Berlin, Dover, Ronda, Madras, Djerba, Fez and New York. They certainly provoke images of the country they represent: New York, for example, is brash and modern with contrasts of dark and light, like the city itself. Other rooms, such as Florencia, are furnished in a more classical style or have an exotic feel to them (Fez and Madras come to mind).

Whatever the room, each has its own patio or terrace to provide privacy and intimacy. There is a quiet garden with a swimming pool to relax in, though Albero lodge is actually a short walk to the beach and the sea. The hotel is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, which offers a wide range of cultural and sports activities such as golf, boat trips, horse riding and biking. Please note, however, the hotel does not provide extra beds or cots. Accordingly it is not wholly suitable for children.

From Estepona: Take the 340 National Road (Marbella-Estepona). At 164.50 km, you will see the hotel Las Dunas on your right. Turn right after passing the bridge over the river and follow the signs to Albero Lodge.
