This wonderful hotel is set dramatically on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean and at the foot of the spectacular Mount Pico volcano. Surrounded by forest, rocks and vineyards, Aldeia da Fonte is both a special and a secret place. The construction is in keeping with local architectural traditions and manages to provide both modern comforts with a homely atmosphere. The hotel is actually made up of five secluded two-story blocks comprising a mixture of self-catering suites and family suites, each thoughtfully designed to provide elegance and comfort. ll	Tips & Getting There

Aldeia da Fonte is located by the sea in the south of Pico Island, 5 minutes by car from Lajes do Pico, the whaling village of the Azores. To reach them you can drive either from the local airport or sail from the channel harbour for about half an hour. To reach Pico you can either fly into our airport or sail by ferry on a half-hour trip from the neighbouring island of Faial.From the Pico Airport:Leave the airport heading for “Madalena”/Estrada Regional, on your left handside. Follow this road (Estrada regional) for approx. 40 km and you will arrive at Silveira, once there you will see (keeping always on this road) a gas station on your right and the Signs for Aldeia da Fonte, make a right and follow this road until you will finally reach Aldeia da Fonte.

Aldeia da Fonte is an amazing place, and the best option for a stay in Pico if you are not very worried about the money. The hotel is quite luxurious, you will find a library a shop and an unforgettable sounds of birds - cagarros - by the end of the night. When you wake up - Pico Vulcano will probably be visible. If you stay in Aldeia da Fonte in 2 m you will reach Lajes do Pico, and you must absolutely experience the whale watching.
