The small Mallorca hotel Ca’s Xorc is an oasis of tranquillity where sheep-bells, the wind flushing through the palm-trees, the view of the Tramuntana Mountains and the sea welcome you.

Two adjoining "fincas" have been transformed into a very attractive ten-room hotel close to Sóller. A great deal of care has gone into its decoration and each room has been individually furnished with its own unique personality. The clever use of candles as adornments throughout is a nice touch and adds to the ambience. Ca’s Xorc also has a delightful terrace with breathtaking views of Puerto Sóller and the surrounding area is an ideal place to relax in.

Sóller is home to two museums and botanical gardens as well as a rich architectural heritage. A wander around the town can be a fascinating experience, with houses dating back to the 14th century and earlier, and a large number of modernist buildings. Of note are the parish church of Saint Bartholomew in the main square, together with the bank next door, Ca'n Prunera in the 'Carrer de Sa Lluna' and a large number of the houses in the 'Gran Via'.

An old estate in Esporlas converted into a private museum. A visit to the torture chamber, with background sounds included (on tape) is an unforgettable experience.

Palma-Sóller by train
Although the Soller tunnel (round trip 980 ptas), has been operating since February 1997 the train that leaves from Plaza España is much prettier.

The small village of Fornalutx, a few kilometers from Soller is one of the most charming of the island, surrounded by mountains, it offers peace and tranquility

The Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences in Sóller is dedicated to the study and dissemination of nature within the Balearic islands.It was founded in 1987 and is housed in a mansion built in 1900, 'el Camp d'en Prohom'. The Botanical Gardens of Sóller occupy what used to be the garden.

The museum occupies the old house of ca'n Mo, that was built in 1740.
There is an exhibition hall, library as well as the ethnological museum that contains a rich variety of archaeological finds and antique artefacts, together with artistic works, furniture and more.

1. From the Mallorca airport take the freeway towards Palma.
2. Exit "Via Cintura, direction Andratx"
3. Exit "Sóller" and follow C711 until you reach Sóller (go through tunnel)
4. Turn left, following the road direction to Deià
5. At mile-stone 56.1 take a left and after 800 meters you will have the parking of hotel Ca's Xorc on your left-hand side
