Wonderfully located and good value for money rural bed and breakfast

Set in the gorgeous Tuscan hills, and yet only half an hour from Florence, the Casa Palmira is one of those skilfully renovated medieval farmhouses that the Italians seem to specialise in. Thanks to this must go to the delightful hosts Stefano and Assunta who put all their energy into making an authentic rural bed and breakfast. It is also a great option for those wishing explore the splendour of the beautiful countryside yet still be near enough beaten track to explore some of the regions great towns and culture. Florence for example, is only 16 km away and the wonderful town of Fiesole is even closer by. The feeling is one of authenticity throughout without precluding flair or style. There is, for example, a Jacuzzi for 4 persons available in the garden not bad for a simple bed and breakfast, is it? Interiors are comfortable, bedrooms cosy and breakfast provides a generous helping of Tuscany. It also comes with a large lounge with fireplace, patio with shady pergola and barbecue. And then there’s the price. Good value for money in a beautiful part of the world.

After the village of Polcanto and Mulinaccio : turn left at the sign for FERIOLO ristorante
Casa Palmira is on your left after the little wooden bridge

FROM GENOVA – PISA – LUCCA - LIVORNO -SIENA
With Motor way A11
Exit : FIRENZE , follow sign FIRENZE CENTRO
then FIESOLE (up the hills noth of Florence)
You arrive in the main square of Fiesole and you go trough the village
From FIESOLE follow sign to OLMO, Via dei Bosconi S.P.54
After about 8 km. you arrive at a crossroad, on route s.s.302, Via Faentina
Follow sign : BORGO SAN LORENZO for 1 Km., turn right at the sign:
FERIOLO ristorante
Casa Palmira is on your left after the little wooden bridge

FROM ROMA

ROMA direction FIRENZE
Exit : FIRENZE SUD , then follow sign : FIESOLE (up the hills north of Florence)
