| With 12 years of experience in the travel industry under her belt, Nicole took-over the Casa da Calma in order to fulfil her vision of combining top class eco-tourism with a personalized service to match. In this she has utterly succeeded, for the “House of Calm” to give it its English translation, more than lives up to its name. Completely renovated and upgraded in 2001, it is set within an extremely tranquil environment with that famous Algarve sun and landscape as a backdrop. Chances are that you’ll be spending much of your time outside making good use of it. In fact, may we suggest finding a strategic place in the large, beautiful gardens, from which to enjoy the charming Algarve scenery, with its hues of yellow, gold and red, over the horizon. However, numerous activities can be arranged, including fishing tours on the Ria Formosa, sailing tours on the Guadiana river, jeep safaris, horseback riding, nature visits to the highest points of the Algarve amongst others. The excellent buffet breakfast is another of the high points here. |

| Visit the villages of Tavira, Estoi, Castro Marom and the beaches Quinta do Lago Beach and Ancão Beach. In Tavira there are many monuments to see. If you love nature, don't miss Ria Formosa Natural Park: Roughly 60km long, this is one of Europe's last remaining intact coast lines. Has an abundance of marine life and an extremely rich ecosystem ideal for the development of a variety of flora and fauna. |

From Lisbon: Take the IP1 (Via do Infante), which links Albufeira with Spain in direction of Faro. Exit the highway at the sign “Olhão / Sta. Catarina” and then turn left at the first crossroads in direction of “Santa Catarina” (N 398). After about 2 km you will arrive in the village of “Pereiro”. About 800 m after the village you will find the Casa da Calma on the left hand side – entrance at the end of the white wall.
From Faro Airport: Take the N2 in direction of "São Brás de Alportel". In Estoi turn on to the Via do Infante (IP1) in direction of Spain and Olhão. Exit the highway at the sign “Olhão” and then turn left at the first crossroads in direction of “Santa Catarina” (N 398). After about 2 km you will arrive in the village of “Pereiro”. About 800 m after the village you will find the Casa da Calma on the left hand side – entrance at the end of the white wall. |
