| The sun shines, the aroma of the southern lands is all pervading and the crickets sing their lazy songs in the heat of the day. It can only be rural Algarve. In this case in particular, the 100 year old Casa de Estoi, where even the six rooms are named after wild flowers, as evidence of the place’s attachment to nature. The Casa de Estoi is a place to get lost in the myriad rooms, courtyards, corridors and little corners everywhere, and despite its century old age, is still utterly contemporary in comforts and activities. Do you choose between lazing in the terrace or a game of billiards in the basement? Perhaps a hydro massage by the pool or the latest movie using the Casa de Estoi’s in-house Home Cinema System? Rural and comfortable - rooms decorated traditionally with high ceilings and stone archways -on the one hand and all those modern touches that make life that much more comfortable, makes for a carefree holiday. Of course if you want to experience the best Algarve has to offer nearby then you are not far away from Quinta do Lago and Ancão beach and the River Formosa Natural Park, a series of protected dunes some 15 minutes away. So whilst you may not want to leave the Casa de Estoi, there is certainly no excuse not to do that. But we’ll understand if you stay put. |

From Faro:
Follow the highway from the airport until the end. From here, go onto the FARO road in direction of SÃO BRÁS DE ALPORTEL and carry on for some 7km. Before getting onto the VIA DO INFANTE (A22), there is a crossing on the right with the sign for ESTOI and CASA DE ESTOI. Follow the signs and you will come to another crossing on the right and go into ESTOI. Follow the road, always going up, until you reach the church square. The Casa de Estoi is on the right.
From Lisbon:
Go onto the A1 motorway heading south all the way until you reach the Algarve and get onto the A22 (aka VIA DO INFANTE). Turn off at the 2nd exit for FARO and SÃO BRÁS DE ALPORTEL (the first exit is for the airport and stadium). Some 100 metres on you will come to a crossing. Turn left here to in direction of ESTOI. You will eventually come to another crossing and turn right to enter ESTOI. Follow the road, always going up, until you reach the church square. The Casa de Estoi is on the right.
From Spain:
Coming via the A22 (aka VIA DO INFANTE). Take the 1st exit for FARO AND SÃO BRÁS DE ALPORTEL. Some 100 metres on you will come to a crossing. Turn left here to in direction of ESTOI. You will eventually come to another crossing and turn right to enter ESTOI. Follow the road, always going up, until you reach the church square. The Casa de Estoi is on the right.
