A wonderful place with no glitzy distractions

It sometimes just doesn’t seem fair. As if mainland Italy wasn’t blessed enough with stunning landscapes, art and culture, it also lays boast to some of the most evocative islands in Europe. Sicily, for example, or the islet of Pantelleria nearby, though in truth it is actually nearer to Africa, then the heel of Italy. Here’s where we can find the Club Levante. In times gone by, a private property, the Club Levante is located within two reference points of the island – l'Arco dell'Elefante and il Faraglione - and is the perfect place to make the most of beautiful sea, beaches (though they have no sand) in totally peaceful surroundings. Even the minimalist style of the Levante adds to the feeling of tranquility, with the private terraces all having their sights onto the sea, whilst the thirteen vaulted rooms are actually built with lava blocks with a low dome. The sky seems higher here, the sea bluer and the earth just that little bit more golden. It’s all very typical of the island, as is the variety of Mediterranean dishes, all fresh and natural, served up at the Club Levante. THE GSM network doesn’t even reach here just in case you bring your cell phones, and a couple of rooms have no fixed lines, for added relaxation. To many people, this will surely be the definition of heaven. Please also note it is not appropriate for children under 16 years old.
