Elegance, hospitality and affordability in the heart of Rome

A hotel managed by a US-Italian couple, Elyssa is from Florida and Alessandro from Rome itself, makes for a great combination, In fact, the exuberance of the new world and style of the old make the Daphne Inn what it is – an elegant and hospitable place to stay. The couple simply delight in suggesting how guests can make the best of their all too short stays in Rome (they even offer mobile phones in case you get lost or need advice). Restaurants, shows, schedules, places to see - if you need it they’ll help you out. Their love of Rome is evident and guests love this sort of attention afforded on them. As for the place itself, the 14 bedroom bed and breakfast is actually made up of two buildings that are some three minutes away from each other by foot. The Daphne Trevi is in an 18th-century building on a quiet cobblestone street leading to the Trevi Fountain. The Daphne Veneto is on the other side of the plaza and located on a quiet side next to the via Veneto, one of the most elegant and famous streets in Rome. Both places, however, are elegant and decorated in the right shades of white and cream which seem to sooth the senses after a day out on the town. Please note, however, that the Trevi has some rooms with shared bathrooms whilst the Veneto rooms are all ensuite. Additionally the rooms in the Trevi are located on the second and third floors and there are no lifts. Whether staying at the Trevi or Veneto, guests often swear that the beds are some of the most comfortable they have ever slept in.

ll Tips & Getting There
From Fiumicino airport: Take the train to Termini station. The trains run every half hour from Fiumicino, and cost 9.50 Euro. taxi service from or to the airport can also be arranged. The rate depends on the number of people and the amount of luggage (from 50-90 Euros).

From Ciampino airport: Take the Cotral bus service to Anagnina Metro station. The buses run about once every half hour. From there, take the Metro Line A all the way to the Barberini metro stop. Several airlines, such as EasyJet and RyanAir have bus services between Ciampino and Termini train station, which coordinate with their flights. Please check with your airline, or see www.terravision.it. We can also arrange for taxi service from or to the airport. The rate depends on the number of people and the amount of luggage (from 50-90 Euros.)

From Termini: Take the Metro line A towards Battistini. (Metro tickets cost 1 Euro, and can be purchased in Termini station at any of the tobacco shops or newspaper stands there. If you are coming from Fiumicino airport and are buying a train ticket to come into the city, you can also buy your metro ticket at the same time. Make sure to validate your metro ticket before entering the metro station.) Go two stops to Barberini. If you prefer to take a taxi from Termini, it will cost around 8-10 Euros. DO NOT ACCEPT A TAXI RIDE FROM ANYONE WHO APPROACHES YOU. These people will charge you from 20-40 Euros. Stand in the line and wait for an official metered taxi.

Getting to Daphne Trevi from the Barberini metro stop: When you come out of the turnstile, go left to exit the metro station. You will see a movie theater on your left, and the plaza on your right. Walk down to the bottom of the plaza to via delle Quattro Fontane. There is a pharmacy on your left at this corner. Via degli Avignonesi is directly in front of you (it's a small cobblestone street going down from via delle Quattro Fontane.) Go about halfway down this street to number 20.

Getting to Daphne Veneto from the Barberini metro stop: When you come out of the turnstile, go right to exit the metro station. Take the stairs to all the way your right, towards via di san Basilio. You will come out on the corner of via Veneto and via San Basilio. Go about halfway up via San Basilio to number 55.
