Lovely little Asturias hotel overlooking the Cuera Mountains

Being comfortably set amongst the foothills of the Cuera mountains, the location of the El Habana alone would itself make a stay here worthwhile. But this place is a cute little hotel in its own right, managing to blend typical Asturian rustic charm and architecture with an eclectic mix of furniture, which reflect the owners’ cosmopolitan tastes and travel around the world. Antique tables, modern fabrics easily blend in with the airy (and large) rooms boasting windows that open out to the garden, the surrounding fields, and the Cuera Mountains. It all makes for a most relaxing atmosphere, particularly when you take account of the 17,000 square metre garden the El Habana has at its disposal - palms, shadow trees and flowering shrubs that invite guests to take long pleasant walks without even leaving the hotel's grounds. But if you do, the El Habana is an excellent base from which to explore the Picos de Europa mountain range or visit the nearby Cantabrian coast. Don’t forget to sample some of the El Habana’s delicious local specialties, such as grille seafood, cheeses and desserts. A place to get away from it all if ever there was one.

El Habana is in an ideal spot to explore the world famous range of Picos de Europa. There are many day walks suited to various levels of fitness. Go kayaking in our beautiful rivers: the Deva and the Sella.

Take the N-634 road from Oviedo to Santander and exit at km 301. Take the Parres, Ça Pereda, LL-6 road (on crossing Lannes, this road goes in the opposite direction to the road that take you to Lannes). Follow the signs to the hotel, which is located 1.3 kms from the crossing.
