A beautifully renovated 17th century hideaway in Plà de Santa Agnes de Corona, Ibiza
Maria and Barbara Rodrigues have performed miracles in transforming a once derelict 17th century rural house into what can only be described as a perfect hideaway.
The location of Es Cucons is itself enough of a calling card, surrounded as it is by gentle rolling countryside and almond trees. The blooming season in January and February, for example, is spectacular and has given the area a “Special Interest” status. But add a typically light Ibizan architecture, total attention to detail in the decor, excellent food and you have a superb accommodation for couples and families alike looking to get away from it all.
Every piece of furniture, however small or seemingly insignificant, has been specially chosen by Maria and Barbara for a purpose - to fit in with the sensibility of Es Cucons. It’s almost all too tempting to just laze about and enjoy the place itself, read a book in the library or take a dip in the well integrated swimming pools, of which there are two (one for adults and one for kids).
However, walking routes, cycling and hiking paths are all nearby. The sea is only a stone’s throw away, though the nearest beach is some 10 minutes by car. A guest once said he was torn to whether he should tell others about the Es Cucons or jealously guard it to himself. We understand his predicament.

When you arrive to the village, you will find on your right side the church and on the left side a sign where it is written "CAMÍ DES PLA DE CORONA". Take this path and continue 3.5 km. From the sign till you find the hotel on your left side. Parking place is on the right. |

"My family and I spent 5 days at the Hotel Es Cucons (Ibiza), which were simply spectacular. The photographs included in your website don’t do justice to the beauty of this place, both in terms of the exterior and the frankly beautiful decor of the rooms. The staff were superb. Not only serving us for the slightest thing, but also calmy and knowing how to be good conversation. We succeeded in doing something which sometimes seems so complicated: relax.
I want to thank the Secretplaces though I don’t agree with their comment that appears on their website: that perhaps we shouldn’t tell others about the Es Cucons"
