Visitors looking for a location where they can be at one with nature will find Los Cerrillares hard to beat. Firstly, this enormous estate is located inside the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park, and flanked both to the left and right by other beautiful nature reserves. Secondly, its confines take in some 25 km of forest walks and approximately 150 km of paths for trekking and horse riding, all within some beautiful valley scenery. It is also an active farm, rearing as it does the famous Iberian mountain pigs, amongst other animals, and products such as fine olive oil. Some of the buildings date back to the 17th century whilst the new apartments, with walls 50 cm thick, are housed in the old workers quarters. The ample size of the apartments and access to a private terrace mitigate the somewhat eclectic taste in decoration. But why stay inside when one can rest under the shade of the olive and orange trees or view a stunning sunset (or sun rise for that matter) with ease.

Los Cerrilares is situated in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park, which makes up the central part of a large area protected by the Sierra Morena. It is flanked to the left and right by the Hornachuelos Natural Park in Cordoba province.

LA PUEBLA DE LOS INFANTES (Los Infante village)

Church of Nuestra Señora de las Huertas, 15th and 16th centuries.
Built by Hernán Ruiz in the mudejar style. It was remodelled in the 18th century to give it a baroque feel. Inside note should be taken of the 16th, 17th and 18th century sculptures.

Church of Santiago, 13th and 14th centuries.
Mudejar style. It was the first parish church of the village.

ll	Tips & Getting There

Coming from Seville you will take about 1 hour for the 80 km. Please drive in direction of Cordoba and after 25 km leave the highway towards Lora del Rio. Pass through Lora always staying on the main road until you reach a roundabout. Here you turn right in direction of Constantina / Palma del Rio / Peñaflor. After 200m and having passed underneath the train bridge, turn right at the traffic lights in direction of Peñaflor. 500m further on take a left in direction of La Puebla de los Infantes / Presa de Jose Toran. After 10 km you will come to a roundabout, where you take the second exit in direction of la Puebla de los Infantes for another 10 km, passing a lake until you reach La Puebla de los Infantes. In la Puebla take a left at the big crossroads in direction of Las Navas de la Concepción. 7 km after the crossroads you will see a rain shelter saying “Los Cerrilares”. Turn right onto asphalted path. You will reach the Finca after 900 m.
