At the Flavor of Italy Country Inn, it is indeed possible to have the best of both worlds: a picturesque country setting with Rome at your fingertips.

Can you ask for more? Yes you can and the Flavor of Italy delivers. Special touches include enormous rooms, often with three king or queen sized beds per room, transportation to and from local restaurants, complimentary happy hour evening, home-baked goods with every breakfast, specialised day tours to nearby food and wine locations and on site cooking classes.

You’ve probably guessed by now that the Flavor of Italy takes its food seriously and no matter what time of the year you are visiting there always seems to be an enticing food or wine event going on. Spring perhaps? Then it must be searching for wild asparagus and edible wild mushrooms. Summer then? Gathering sun dried fruit and vegetables or walnut picking to make nocino liquer. How about Fall? Why not try grape picking and wine making, gathering and drying wild fennel for sausages, risottos and roasts. Last but not least – winter: then that must mean olive picking and olive dressing, gathering chestnuts and walnuts. This list is by no means exhaustive.

If all this eating and drinking gets too much for you, then Rome is only a handy 20 minutes away by train. You can walk off those extra calories visiting some of the most beautiful monuments and architecture in the world.

ll	Tips & Getting There

From Fiumicino airport:
Take the train to TERMINI station. The trains run every half hour from Fiumicino. From Termini take the METRO line A to the PIAZZALE FLAMINIO metro stop, switch to the ROMA NORD line (over ground) and take any train to MONTEBELLO. The hotel will pick you up there.

From Ciampino airport:
Take the Cotral bus service to ANAGNINA metro station. The buses run approximately every 30 minutes. From Anagnina, take the METRO line A to the PIAZZALE FLAMINIO metro stop, switch to the ROMA NORD line (over ground) and take any train to MONTEBELLO. The hotel will pick you up there.

Several airlines provide bus services between Ciampino and Termini train station, whih coordinate their flights. Check with your airline or see www.terravision.it. A private car from or to the airport can also be arranged. The rate is 60 Euros
