A most appealing countryside hotel set within some ten hectares of olive groves and tastefully converted from an 18th century olive mill. In fact, conversion has been undertaken in such a way as not to impact on the rural feel yet this lovely lodging, with its open stonework and rough-hewn honey-coloured marble, also provides luxury and comfort.
Furthermore, its privileged setting within unspoilt countryside commands spectacular views of the area, including the Sierra de las Nieves and the outskirts of Ronda. In all, a real sense of space and exists. The attention to detail and good taste carries on into the rooms with their original paintings, furniture and boarded flooring. Sierra de Grazalema
Declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco, Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park is located in the north east of the province of Cadiz and in the north west of Malaga, at an altitude ranging from 250 to 1,654 metres above sea level. A Special Protection Zone for Birds, the Park covers 51,695 hectares and is among the areas of greatest ecological importance in the south of the peninsula, and therefore of great significance in Spain as a whole.Its main activities are centred on woodcutting and cattle farming (in some cases using wild stock). Industrial activities include the manufacture of woolen shawls and leather products; other sources of income are tourism, hunting and recreational fishing.
Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park (Parque Natural Sierra de las Nieves) is located at the heart of the natural Serrania de Ronda region, in the province of Malaga. Its greatest treasure are its conifer forests dating back to the tertiary period, featuring the Spanish fir, the most unusual species of fir in the world.

Hotel la Fuente de la Higuera is easily accessible from Málaga (see map), Gibraltar and Seville airports. It is only an hour away from the Mediterranean coast, and ninety minutes from the great Andalusian cities of Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Jerez.
Driving from Ronda to Fuente de la Higuera
From RONDA, follow directions SEVILLA & ALGODONALES (A 376). Approximately 2 km after the last turn off into Ronda you will pass a turning to the left signed BENAOJAN / CORTES;
stay on the road to Seville and between kilometer-posts 117 and 116 (just after a huge sign saying A 376 Carretera Sevilla-Costa del Sol) you will see an asphalted dirt track off to the RIGHT with a sign towards HOTEL LA FUENTE DE LA HIGUERA.
Stay on the asphalted track and after ca. 1 km you come to a wall;
turn left and pass under a railway-bridge.
After 500 mtrs there is a fork. Take the left track.
Go over a small bridge and go ahead.
After another 500 mtrs there is a sign of the hotel to turn left.
After having turned left, you can see the hotel on your right. Within one more minute one of us will be the lucky one to be welcoming you here.
