This working farm is located on the north coast of São Miguel island and has long played a major role in the community by way of the production of tea, honey, potatoes, Indian corn, milk and butter. Indeed, it is a rural location that caters for agro-tourism. Visitors can actually play a hands on role in the day-to-day running of the estate, if they so wish, or simply enjoy a bike ride or stroll around the local meadows and woods. There is also a studio for pottery and weaving as well as other activities to indulge in such as tennis, a gym, fishing in a nearby creek and swimming in the sea. The building itself was constructed in the 1960s and is decorated in the rustic style.

ll	Tips & Getting There

The Herdade de Nossa Senhora das Graças is located in the area of Lomba da Maia in the northern part of the island. From Ponta Delgada, take the main road to Ribeira Grande. Carry on the main road in an easterly direction passing Ribeirinha, Porto Formoso and eventually you will come to Lomba da Maia, where the Herdade de Nossa Senhora das Graças is located.
