“I wandered through Venice’s far retreat
Laughed in the sun, and life seemed so sweet.”

Venice brings out the poet in all of us; it is simply that sort of magical place, and any stay here must be in an accommodation that does it justice. So welcome to the Al Ponte Mocenigo. Situated on two floors of an old Venetian building, the Mocenigo is strategically located in the very Heart of Venice, yet still incredibly calm and seemingly away from it all, situated as it is right by the River Stae and a precious marble bridge that provides access to the hotel, as well as its name. Just arriving here by water taxi is a really authentic experience and once there, Valter and Sandro will welcome you in such a way that very much proves the art of hospitality is still alive and kicking – they are incredibly helpful and attentive. The ten ample rooms are well decorated in the 18th Century Venetian style – even the closets seem to be antique pieces. Yet there is also Internet connection, Satellite TV, minibar and safe box. Breakfast is simply sumptuous which, weather allowing, and should be taken on the lovely landscaped patio.

In short, what a great place, located in the less touristy but more peaceful district of Santa Croce, yet a stone’s throw away from the Rialto Bridge and the Great Canal where everything is basically at hand. We would also just add that the price-quality is frankly excellent. No wonder guests who have stayed here wax lyrical about the place. A stay here really does make life seem so sweet.

ll Activities
Walking the streets around the hotel, you can discover hidden, charming corners which are normally overlooked. The vicinity of this elegant, comfortable hotel in Venice also hosts lots of museums and interesting buildings from an architectural, historical and cultural point of view. An excellent example is Ca' Pesaro, a splendid baroque building which even has two museums: the Museum of Oriental Art and the International Art Gallery in Venice, where you can admire paintings and sculptures by Klimt, Chagall, Kandinsky and Rodin, to name but a few.

Also in the area, the Museum of Natural History and Mocenigo Palace, the age-old residence of the Mocenigo family which today hosts the Museum and Center for the History of Fabric and Costume.
We advise you to visit the nearby Campo San Giacomo, Campo dei Frari, San Rocco and Campo Santa Margherita which are always lively, picturesque "Venetian" areas. The nearby fish and fruit markets are also highly characteristic, which each morning liven the Rialto area with their multicolored stalls.
Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo is also 15 minutes from St. Mark's Square, which you can reach on foot or with a vaporetto, therefore making the hotel an ideal base for all itineraries.

The hotel is less than 50 meters from the San Stae vaporetto stop (running 24 hours a day) with a service entrance that allows you to reach the vaporetti without having to cross any bridges.
