Hotel Albatroz in Cascais - one of Portugal's best known hotels.
Originally built for the Portuguese royal family in the mid 19th century, the fairy tale Hotel Albatroz overlooks Cascais Bay and has been restored with taste, imagination and care. The original building emanates traditional luxury and personality combined with all the modern facilities expected by the most demanding traveller. The new wing of Hotel Albatroz was built in the 1980’s. The romantic town of Sintra, praised by Lord Byron, is a must for those visiting the Estoril Coast.
Less than twenty kilometres away, this area is particularly attractive for its lush vegetation and the original architecture of the houses, mostly dating back to the XIX century. The Estoril Coast line and the coast to the west – at the foot of the Sintra hills is worth visiting at all the times of the year. One of the most important places for the visitor is of course, Lisbon - capital of Portugal and relatively close to Cascais. There are many places to see and things to do in this area. Cabo da Roca
The most westerly point of Europe, a magnificent cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the delightfully unspoilt countryside, the low-growing vegetation and in the spring, the white carpet of Armeria Pseudarmeria, unique to this area.
ESTORIL
An internationally known resort, Estoril has all the facilities you will need together with a natural beauty and individual architecture blending with the surroundings. It is worth taking a stroll along to Monte Estoril, where you will find many pretty buildings on the way. In the park in front of the Casino, a colourful scene pleases the eye, edged by tall, tropical palm trees. Without losing any of its natural charm, Estoril has spread and now offers many facilities for the visitor.
Beaches: Guincho beach, lying at the foot of the Sintra hills and facing the Atlantic, should not be missed. Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga in Colares after Cabo da Roca.

Cascais market every Wednesday morning. Food and, like Carcavelos there are many good bargains available. |

De Lisboa al hotel Albatroz en Cascais:
Tome la carretera A5 para Cascais y haga la salida de Alvide/Albarraque, continue en el camino hasta que llegue a una rotunda, siga en frente en esta carretera hasta que tenga que girar a izquierda para la estación de tren es enfrente y el océano está por tras. Una vez ahi, gire a derecha y siga por la calle, después de la curva, gire a izquierda y guarde en ir después de pasar las primeras luces; guarde a la izquierda y usted pasará el cruce giratorio central de Cascais que también tenga luces. Una vez que usted le haya pasado estancia en el derecho de la calle y haga que el primer gire la derecha, usted verá otro cruce giratorio y la estación de tren, hay una calle muy pequeña en el lado izquierdo entre dos bancos, toma esta calle y un par de metros a continuación hará frente al hotel Albatroz.
