Beautifully located and decorated Jerez hotel

The lovely little Hotel Bellas Artes is a cute as it is well located. Its neighbours include the cathedral and Alcazar and from the rooftop terrace a number of these beautiful monuments pan out before our eyes. As a past guest once said of these views “It makes me feel very self important” Some of the sherry “Bodegas” (or wineries) are also conspicuous, for this is sherry country par excellence, the epicentre of one of the world’s great wines. Visiting the wineries from the hotel is thus easy and an opportunity certainly not to be missed. With regards to the hotel itself, 18th century Bellas Artes is a converted palace restored to its original colours. The stone wall façades and pillars now shine out proudly as in their former heyday, thanks to the two architects two took on the mantle of renovating the Bellas Artes to its old glory. Rooms have also all been individually designed and refurbished to excellent effect, with the smallish rooms more than mitigated by the charm of the décor, high ceilings and exposed beams. All in all, it makes for a hotel of considerable quality, all the more so, when we consider the friendliness of the staff, who are always eager to help.
