Overlooking the town of Dénia is this late 19th century house surrounded by acres of Mediterranean gardens boasting a variety of trees – including pine, chestnut and orange. Buenavista has been renovated to include a number of attractive features, such as wood ceilings, art nouveaux pieces, Jacuzzi in every bathroom, heating, air conditioning and perfect acoustic isolation. The three-story house further includes well-fitted, though not exceptionally large, rooms. It is worth trying to get one with a terrace. The hotel also provides a free airport and station shuttle though there must be a minimum number of four people to take advantage of this service. Certainly a harmonious combination of Mediterranean hospitality and tradition with comfort.

Flea market : you can find anything from a chest of drawers from the last Century to the latest in pop music. You will find it every Monday in the precinct of Torrequemada.

In March, the Fallas celebrate the arrival of spring with all its happy and satirical monuments, when burnt remind us of the fugacity of things. And in June, the Hogueras de San Juan (Bonfires of San Juan) cheerfully announce the arrival of summer with songs and fires on the seashore.
In August, the Moors and Christians parade in the streets of Dénia, all decked out in their best ceremonial dress.

C/ Cavallers, San Josep, Major and Loreto: houses from the 18th and 19th centuries are preserved and provide examples of the wealth and middle class that the raisin business produced.

Convent of the Agustinas (17th century): There are three different parts; the church, the cloister and the southern wing of the cloister. The interior cannot be visited

Church de la Asunción (18th century): built over the ancient chapel of Sant Roc. It is in the Plaza de la Constitución, where Carlos the Archduke of Austria was proclaimed King.

Town hall: construction begun in the 16th century. Gothic style. There are remains of ogival arches. A neo-classic façade was added. There are several Roman inscriptions in the Town Hall and in the staircases.

Castle: structure shows signs of the Roman era even though its shape corresponds to the Islamic era, with the albacar, the Vila Vella and the fortress. This castle played an important role in the conquest of the Valencian territory by Jaume I.

ll	Tips & Getting There

Driving from Alicante towards Valencia - at Denia take right turn exit 62 from the A-7 to C-3311. Take the turnoff to La Xara (on your right), but turn left from the offramp (in the opposite direction of La Xara). About 1 km down this road you will see a giant sign to hotel Buena Vista, at which you turn right.
